How JustSay works

Three gestures cover everything: hold the mic to dictate, hold ✨ to command, long-press space to switch keyboards. Here's the whole picture.

01 · Dictate

Hold the mic, speak, release

Whisper-grade transcription in 90+ languages, including mixed-language sentences. Punctuation is added automatically. Words appear right at your cursor — no popup, no "open this app first".

02 · Command

Hold ✨, just say what you want

"Translate to French", "make it polite", "summarise the clipboard in three bullets". JustSay reads your buffer, selection or clipboard and rewrites in place — each command chains on the previous result.

03 · Workspace

A Source / Result canvas

For longer work, open the Workspace. Translate, then shorten, then polish — iteratively. Share an article or a voice note into JustSay and it lands here, transcribed and ready.

Questions

Common questions

Does it replace Gboard?
No. JustSay joins your keyboard list alongside Gboard, SwiftKey or whatever you use. Swipe input, autocorrect and emoji stay exactly where they are. Long-press the space bar to switch in, long-press again to switch back — under a second either way.
How do I switch to JustSay and back?
Three ways from any text field:
  • Long-press the space bar — keyboard picker pops up.
  • Tap the 🌐 globe key if your current keyboard has one — cycles through enabled keyboards.
  • Drag down the notification tray while a text field is focused and pick "Choose input method".
To go back, tap the ↶ Keyboard button in JustSay (top right) — one tap returns you to your previous keyboard.
Which languages are supported?
90+ languages for dictation, including mixed-language sentences — you can switch language mid-sentence and it keeps up. Translation works in any direction between supported languages.
What happens to my audio?
Audio is sent for transcription and discarded immediately afterwards. We don't store transcripts on our servers and there's no ad tracking. See the privacy page for the full detail.
How do voice commands know what to edit?
A command acts on your current text buffer, your selection, or the clipboard. Hold ✨ and say the instruction — the rewritten text replaces the source in place, ready to send. Examples that work today: "translate to English", "reply politely saying I'm busy this weekend", "make this professional but firm", "three bullet points", "undo" (in any language).
What does it cost?
Free trial — 7 days, 300 minutes total. Same as paid during the trial.
Free — 60 minutes per month after the trial. Resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).
Premium — $4.99 / month, 300 minutes per month. Includes voice commands and auto-cleanup (punctuation, capitalisation).
Something isn't working — what should I try?
  • Mic permission off — open the JustSay app, tap "Enable keyboard"; the popup asks for mic; allow it.
  • Doesn't appear in keyboard list — Android sometimes hides newly installed IMEs. Reboot the phone and try again.
  • "Sign in" loops — clear the app data and start over (Settings → Apps → JustSay → Storage → Clear).
