Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 May 2026 · Effective: 7 May 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using JustSay you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
JustSay is a voice keyboard for Android. It records audio when you press and hold the mic, sends it to a third-party speech-to-text provider for transcription, and inserts the resulting text into the app you were typing in. On Premium tier (and during the free trial), it also offers an optional cleanup pass and voice-driven text transformation. We may add, change, or remove features at any time during the beta.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some EU jurisdictions) and able to enter a binding contract in your country of residence to use the app.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password and Google account secure. Don't share your sign-in.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, with reasonable exceptions for confirmed breaches.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing us. In-app deletion is on the roadmap.
- We may close your account if you violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use JustSay to:
- Break the law in your jurisdiction.
- Try to extract our prompts, reverse-engineer the service, or scrape it at scale.
- Generate or distribute illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful content via the cleanup pass or commands. The transcription is unfiltered, but post-processing has guardrails; trying to get around them is a violation.
- Record audio of other people without their consent where doing so would be illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity in a way that could harm them.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the service without prior written permission.
- Run JustSay through automated scripts, bots, or other non-human use.
6. AI-generated content
JustSay uses third-party AI models (currently OpenAI Whisper and gpt-4o-mini). The transcription can be inaccurate, especially with heavy accents, background noise, or technical terminology. The cleanup pass may occasionally rephrase or "improve" beyond what was asked. The voice command feature can produce results that don't match your intent. Don't rely on the output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical communication without re-reading.
7. Subscriptions and billing
The Premium plan, when available through the Google Play Store, will be billed by Google Play according to their subscription terms. We may change pricing for new subscribers; existing subscribers will be notified of any change before it takes effect. Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy.
Free tier limits (currently 60 minutes / month after the 7-day trial) may be adjusted at any time. We will not retroactively charge you for usage that was free at the time you used it.
The Complimentary plan is granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time.
8. Audio and privacy
9. Service availability
The backend service is provided as-is, without uptime guarantees, during the beta. When the backend is unreachable, JustSay can't transcribe — your normal keyboard remains available via the system keyboard switcher.
10. Intellectual property
The app, server code, brand, and prompt templates are owned by the operator. You keep ownership of the content you input (your audio, your transcripts, your text). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that content for the purpose of running the service for you. We do not use your content to train any model.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app and have your account deleted at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if running the service for you becomes operationally infeasible (e.g. abuse). On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't, delete your account before the effective date.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the operator be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state where the operator is established, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
